Yes, we most certainly do! You can always rent any of our available snowmobiles to go ride on your own.

Yes, delivery options to private land are available. We also rent trailers that you may use to transport your rented sled from us as well.

It’s exactly that, a completely private mountain that only TSA is exclusively able to ride with clients like you. Check out the tab “Adventures” for full details and just exactly how cool this private mountain and its terrain is.

We are really lucky to be able to say that we have a little of everything at our mountain. Powder Meadows, Technical Tree Riding, Scenic Trails, Downhill Powder Descents, Cliff drops, V-bottom riding, rock faces & Chutes, technical ravine riding, and everything in between! We TRULY have something for everyone and all ability level of riders.

Every year we get people that have never ridden a sled before, to those that are at the professional level of riding. We can say with pride that we are able to cater to any and all styles of riding. We pair you accordingly with our professional guides to ensure you get the most out of your day. This is our premium, white glove service that we offer. The Pro Ride Adventure offers everything you need to ensure the most successful day on the hill. Sled rental, a Professional guide, Private Mountain Riding, Gear, Lunch, and anything else that we can assist with in ensuring you have the best time on the snow with us.

Yes! You can go ahead and book “Pro Ride Adventure without Sled Rental” to ride your own machine on our private mountain with one of our guides.

No, all guests that want to ride the private mountain must book one of our Pro Ride Adventure packages (either with or without a sled rental).

We have full sets of KLIM snowmobiling gear available. Please let us know if you need more than just a snowmobiling specific helmet when booking though.

Yes, any gear that you may need that we have on hand is included in the price of your adventure and/or rental. Call us if you’d like more information on this.

You will meet us at our shop in town (2740 Lincoln Ave, Steamboat Springs, CO) to sign paperwork and get any gear you need ready for the day. From there it is only a 20 minute drive to our trailhead that we ride from.

Yes, if transportation is needed please let us know when booking. If you are able to meet us at our office we can transport you from there to our private mountain. If you need full transportation from where you’re staying (within the city limits of Steamboat Springs), we can also accommodate that.

Yes! The Trail Explorer Adventure is perfect for groups with younger kids that just want to ride along with a driver.

Yes, but only with the Trail Explorer Adventure. The Pro Ride Adventure snowmobiles are high performance mountain specific and do not allow for more than one rider.

TO KNOW – PRO RIDE ADVENTURE

Pro Ride Clients will want to arrive at our shop (2740 Lincoln Avenue Steamboat Springs, CO) at 8:45 am to sign paperwork & get everything ready with their gear before we depart for our private riding area. The Shuttle Bus leaves at 9:00 am Sharp for the riding area, so do not be late! Clients should bring all of the snow gear that they currently have with them (Regular snow boots or Snowboard boots, goggles, gloves, balaclava, jacket, snow pants, base layer clothing, hand warmers if desired, etc.) We will provide snowmobile specific helmets if needed. We can also provide snowmobiling gear if you do not have anything or need certain items. Please note we do not provide balaclavas or gloves.

TO KNOW – TRAIL EXPLORER TOUR

½ Day Morning (8:30 am) Trail Explorer clients will want to arrive at our shop at 8:15 am. The shuttle bus leaves at 8:30 sharp for the riding area so do not be late.

½ Day Afternoon (12:00 pm) Trail Explorer clients will want to arrive at our shop at 11:45 am. The shuttle bus leaves at 12:00 sharp so please do not be late.

Once arrived at our shop, you will sign paperwork & get everything ready with your gear before we depart for our private riding area. TRANSPORTATION/SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE

Need transportation from where you’re staying at? No problem! We now offer transportation for all guests that need it. You can either meet us at our office in town (2740 Lincoln Avenue Steamboat Springs, CO) and ride from there to our Private Mountain, or we can pick you up directly at your hotel/condo/house and take care of you from start to finish with getting you to our office and then over to our Private Mountain.

Pickup times:

Pro Ride Adventure Clients (9:00 am tours) will have pickup times from 8:15 am – 8:45 am

Morning Trail Explorer Clients (8:30 am tours) will have pickup times from 7:30 am – 8:15 am

Afternoon Trail Explorer Clients (12:00 pm tours) will have pickup times of 11:15 am – 11:45 pm

LOCATION/DELIVERY

Our shop is easily accessible to trucks and trailers as we are just off the main Hwy 40 that goes through Steamboat Springs. We are across from Steamboat Powersports on the north side of Hwy 40 at the West End Plaza. We understand how circ*mstances can occur, so if delivery is needed please contact us and ask about our delivery options.

TO KNOW – SLED ONLY RENTAL PICKUP/RETURN

Sled only rentals may be picked up as early as 8:00 AM on the day of your rental. Sleds must be dropped off by 6:00 PM on the final day of rental or face a late return fee of $50 (if later than 1 hour). After 3 hours of being late, a full day rental will be charged.

Clients that are doing a sled only rental (no guide) must be familiar with how to operate the snowmobile, what ice scratchers are & how to use them, how to not overheat the snowmobile while riding trail, capable of hooking up to and unhooking a trailer, capable of driving a vehicle while pulling a trailer, capable of loading, securing, and unloading the snowmobile from a trailer, basic mechanical understanding of the machine and how to diagnose issues, and must know the overall basics of how a snowmobile operates.

Clients should also be well equipped to be in the backcountry. This includes having all the tools needed to make on-mountain repairs to the snowmobile, emergency supply kit, first aid kit, mule rope, fire starter, SPOT GPS, spare clothing, food & water, & proper backcountry knowledge. While Backcountry first aid and Avalanche knowledge is not required, it is very helpful to have when riding without a guide. If you do not feel comfortable with possessing all of the items mentioned above and nobody else in your group possesses them either, ride with one of our guides and learn how to ride alone before going out on your own.

DAMAGE WAIVER

Clients are responsible for any damage that occurs while the snowmobile, trailers, gear, and anything else from TSA is in their possession. Clients are responsible for the first $2,000 of combined damage per machine. TSA has 36 hours after a rental is dropped off to inspect it for damages.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Our cancellation policy allows you to cancel up to 2 weeks prior to your reservation for a full, 100% refund. That’s right, no questions asked; cancel for any reason 2 weeks prior to your reservation with no penalty.

Cancellations within 2 weeks of your reservation are not refundable, no matter what. Under no circ*mstances will a refund be issued if cancelled within 2 weeks (sickness, closed roads, cancelled flights, state or local shutdowns, death, cancelled vacation, etc.) unless Trip Insurance is bought from Thunderstruck Adventures within 36 hours of placing your reservation. Trip insurance may be purchased for 10% of your total booking fee and allows you to cancel up until the day of your reservation, no questions asked, for a full 100% refund. Please call, text, or email to add Trip Insurance onto your reservation.
